18 Months is such a fun age; there’s excitement over the tinest things, there is endless energy and an innocence that makes it all that much sweeter. I really enjoyed my time with Miss C this past weekend; we fed the ducks at Lake Eola and played at the park- what a wonderful Saturday morning.

Remember this sweet couple from about a month ago??  Well they welcomed the sweetest addition to their family at the end of September, precious baby A.  Unfortunately, I was battling a cold and then out of town when she first arrived so I didn’t get to meet her until just last weekend.  But let me tell you she was worth the wait!  Sweet Miss A was alert and curious about everything around her, had fun sticking her tongue out at her Daddy and cuddled up pretty nicely with Mommy.  I am so thrilled for both Kelly and Sean; she is indeed a welcomed addition to their already wonderful family!

I really and truly love this family!!  Every time I have photographed them it has been such a pleasure- they are fun, they are real and they love each other with every ounce of their beings.  I have known Staci, the Mom, for years and I couldn’t be more happy any time that we get together to photograph them.  I always know that it’s going to be a great time and this latest shoot was no exception; we hung out by the fountain, played on and under a blanket, I was graced by the presence of a princess, watched Batman fly and got to see Spiderman and shooting webs in action.  I really had a difficult time narrowing down a selection to post here, they were all so good! Enjoy!

These next few are a few of my favorites… how great would these look blown up, printed and hung together on the wall.  Seriously folks, these kids are precious- just precious!

A few weeks ago, before our trip to Canada, I had the pleasure of photographing this sweet Momma to be, Kelly.  She and my husband go back to the days of high school and I have been so lucky to have gotten to know her over the past few years.  Her smile is infectious and right now she is positively glowing!  The excitement that Kelly and her husband Shawn already have for this precious baby girl is beyond apparent and I loved being able to capture such a special time in their lives.  I honestly can’t wait to get the phone call saying that their little one has arrived; I am so excited to get my camera on her!!

This year is an exciting one for our family- we are adding two more members to the family!  Our little one that will arrive sometime in November and a new brother-in-law in October!  My sister-in-law, Nicole, is getting married October 15 and not only do I get the pleasure of attending this grand event I get to photograph the whole shebang too!  It is going to be quite the party but I am most excited for the two of them to start their lives as husband and wife.  They are perfect for each other and we couldn’t be more blessed with the addition of Jeremiah to the family.

We had to be creative about their engagement photographs- their ideal location would have been somewhere in near Asheville in the mountains however, having a toddler and being 5 months pregnant makes destination photography a little more difficult. So we opted to do the photographs when they were in town for the family beach vacation.  After thinking for a while we decided that we might be able to get some field/ non-palm tree location out near the Econolochatchee River.  The plan was to head to there shortly after getting home from vacation and grab our photos.  Unfortunately (or fortunately- depending on how you look at it) we got rained out.  I was able to grab a few photos from under the umbrella (held by Jamie) of them playing in the rain so the trip wasn’t a complete waste but we tried again early the next morning before they drove home to Asheville.  I love the way the photographs turned out in both locations (some of the rain photographs are my absolute favorites); however, it might have something to do with how much I like the subjects ;)

I met this little guy’s Momma, Whitney, in child birth class.  The first night of class we went around the room telling our due dates and there were four of us that were days apart- Whitney was due one day after I was or one day before, honestly I can’t remember now. Unfortunately, Whitney and I didn’t keep up after class but ran into each other again when I started taking Jay to story time at the library- yea!  We have kept in touch since then and our boys have had a blast playing with each other since then.

I met Whitney, her adorable sister-in-law and Mr. E at Park Ave a few weeks back to get some shots of Mr. E.  Not having babysitting that morning (it was early during the week) I decided to backpack Jay while we shot.  He did a great job although I did eventually let him down so he could run free and play with his buddy.

I love the way these turned out, Whitney, and am looking forward to doing it again sometime!

I had the pleasure of photographing Jessica and Garrett’s wedding back in April.  Jessica and I go way back to middle school and I was so honored to be apart of their day.

The ceremony and reception took place at Jessica’s family home making it intimate and full of southern charm.  The house, situated on a beautiful lake, was a perfect place for these two to get married; beautifully decorated with flowers and personal touches everywhere you looked making their day that much more unique and special.  The food was fabulous and let me tell you this group really knows how to throw a party!  People danced well into the night, enjoyed each other’s company and then rallied on the dock for a send off around the lake in their boat.

Congratulations Jessica and Garrett, I am so happy for the two of you!

When I was out with handsome Mr C we got a bunch of really great photographs of the whole family.  Honestly, I love photos of Mommy’s and Daddy’s playing with their little ones and these might my favorites from the whole shoot!

So I have been pretty bad about updating this corner of my world.  It doesn’t mean that I haven’t been shooting it just means that I have been so busy trying to keep up with life that this blog has taken a back seat.  That being said, hold on for me I am going to do a super quick recap.  Babies!  It’s what the focus has been on and well I have two especially sweet little ones that just turned a year old to share with you.

It’s been so great to see these little ones grow this last year, but it really feels like I was just shooting their newborn shoots and baptisms.  Why oh why do little ones have to grow SO quickly?!?

It has been simply wonderful to reconnect with my dear high school friend Staci.  She and I have crossed paths here and there since graduating, throwing our caps up in the air (ha- we weren’t actually allowed to do that at our school) and walking down our own paths after graduation.  It was always great to see her, to catch up and to meet whatever new little one that her family had been blessed with.  However, when Jay was on his way (and after he arrived) we ended up planning our meetings instead of leaving it up to sheer luck and a target parking lot and I must say this is a much better approach.  I have really enjoyed getting back in touch and especially getting to hang with her ever-growing family!

About a week ago I packed up Jay and headed over to the Formans’ house to get some family/maternity photos before baby number 3 made it’s grand entrance.  We had put off the shoot a few times in hopes of warmer weather and ended up shooting on the coldest day out of the bunch; however, it was a good thing we did since baby E decided to make an early arrival!  This little bundle wasn’t waiting until Christmas Day, he just couldn’t wait that long!  Yesterday, I headed over there again to grab some of sweet little E.  We were able to grab a few amidst the chaos that is a house of three children under the age of four and I got to get some snuggle time in too!

Staci, I am constantly amazed at how you and Micah manage to make your day to day life look so effortless.  I know that it is not easy- things come up, toilets overflow ;-) but you all manage to keep what is most important at the center of your lives.  Hope you enjoy the photos and I can’t wait to snuggle with that precious little boy again soon!
