ducks!!

Tuesday, November 1st, 2011

18 Months is such a fun age; there’s excitement over the tinest things, there is endless energy and an innocence that makes it all that much sweeter. I really enjoyed my time with Miss C this past weekend; we fed the ducks at Lake Eola and played at the park- what a wonderful Saturday morning.

love this family

I really and truly love this family!!  Every time I have photographed them it has been such a pleasure- they are fun, they are real and they love each other with every ounce of their beings.  I have known Staci, the Mom, for years and I couldn’t be more happy any time that we get together to photograph them.  I always know that it’s going to be a great time and this latest shoot was no exception; we hung out by the fountain, played on and under a blanket, I was graced by the presence of a princess, watched Batman fly and got to see Spiderman and shooting webs in action.  I really had a difficult time narrowing down a selection to post here, they were all so good! Enjoy!

Mr E

I met this little guy’s Momma, Whitney, in child birth class.  The first night of class we went around the room telling our due dates and there were four of us that were days apart- Whitney was due one day after I was or one day before, honestly I can’t remember now. Unfortunately, Whitney and I didn’t keep up after class but ran into each other again when I started taking Jay to story time at the library- yea!  We have kept in touch since then and our boys have had a blast playing with each other since then.

I met Whitney, her adorable sister-in-law and Mr. E at Park Ave a few weeks back to get some shots of Mr. E.  Not having babysitting that morning (it was early during the week) I decided to backpack Jay while we shot.  He did a great job although I did eventually let him down so he could run free and play with his buddy.

I love the way these turned out, Whitney, and am looking forward to doing it again sometime!

the best gift!

It has been simply wonderful to reconnect with my dear high school friend Staci.  She and I have crossed paths here and there since graduating, throwing our caps up in the air (ha- we weren’t actually allowed to do that at our school) and walking down our own paths after graduation.  It was always great to see her, to catch up and to meet whatever new little one that her family had been blessed with.  However, when Jay was on his way (and after he arrived) we ended up planning our meetings instead of leaving it up to sheer luck and a target parking lot and I must say this is a much better approach.  I have really enjoyed getting back in touch and especially getting to hang with her ever-growing family!

About a week ago I packed up Jay and headed over to the Formans’ house to get some family/maternity photos before baby number 3 made it’s grand entrance.  We had put off the shoot a few times in hopes of warmer weather and ended up shooting on the coldest day out of the bunch; however, it was a good thing we did since baby E decided to make an early arrival!  This little bundle wasn’t waiting until Christmas Day, he just couldn’t wait that long!  Yesterday, I headed over there again to grab some of sweet little E.  We were able to grab a few amidst the chaos that is a house of three children under the age of four and I got to get some snuggle time in too!

Staci, I am constantly amazed at how you and Micah manage to make your day to day life look so effortless.  I know that it is not easy- things come up, toilets overflow ;-) but you all manage to keep what is most important at the center of your lives.  Hope you enjoy the photos and I can’t wait to snuggle with that precious little boy again soon!

isn't being two fun?

baby E- what a wonderful Christmas gift!

a surprise

Wednesday, July 7th, 2010

Erica wanted to surprise T’s Daddy with some pictures of the two them and we were able to get some GREAT ones of them during our shoot.  I held off on posting them so I wouldn’t ruin the surprise but these are too good not to share now that the beans have been spilled!

Thanks again Erica, it was great to see you two!

well worth the pomp and circumstance

I had the pleasure of photographing the Parke House Academy’s Pre-Kindergarten Graduation a few weeks back and boy was it cute.  I have never been to a graduation for someone under the age of 18 before and I couldn’t get over all of these little ones walking around in their little cap and gowns.  Let me just tell you, it was precious!  At one point during the ceremony there was not a dry eye in the place; I was crying and they weren’t even my kids…

I am sure their parents, grandparents and families couldn’t be prouder of these cutie pies!

rain, rain go away…

I have known little T’s Mom for years!  This is no exaggeration folks; seriously, we go back to the days of middle school, braces, bad hair and unfortunate clothing.  Having known Erica for years I was super excited when she contacted me about doing a 4 year old shoot with T.  Our first scheduled shoot unfortunately got rained out (darn Florida weather) and it was looking like our second might as well but we waited out the sun shower and were able to get some great shots after the weather cleared!  Aside from it being muggy out after the rain, everything went wonderfully and I had so much fun hanging out and catching up with these two.  I adored everything that Erica brought for Taylor to wear; it’s a good thing we have a boy or I would be flat broke with all of the cute things I could dress a little girl up in!  I mean seriously, take a look at how cute she is…

Every year I design the Classroom Yearbook for my Mom’s preschool class.  She teaches at a private school here in Winter Park and spends her days with 14 3-4 year olds (bless her heart).  I love being able to document their year in such a wonderful keepsake; I can’t wait until Jay is that age and I can do fun projects with him.  When I was at her school the other day I snagged a few of the kids in her class, can you say precious?

Two Cute!

Friday, December 18th, 2009

There are a lot of 2′s in this household- two adorable twins, a very fun 2 year old brother and 2 loving parents.  Edward and Ginny make handling this bunch look easy.  Although I am not sure how they manage with 3 under the age of two, I think it has a little to do with how much love there is in their home.  I had so much fun catching up with you guys, it is always a pleasure to share the day with you and your family.

A few weeks ago I got the pleasure of photographing this wonderful group of 25!  I have known one of the daughters since I was a Freshman in high school; she was my teacher and then SGA sponsor believe it or not, so we go way back.  It is always great seeing her and the rest of her family is just as fun.  It was a challenge to say the least, with the afternoon sun and because there are so many of them but they were great!  I loved, loved, loved working with them.
