May 28th, 2010 Every year I design the Classroom Yearbook for my Mom’s preschool class. She teaches at a private school here in Winter Park and spends her days with 14 3-4 year olds (bless her heart). I love being able to document their year in such a wonderful keepsake; I can’t wait until Jay is that age and I can do fun projects with him. When I was at her school the other day I snagged a few of the kids in her class, can you say precious?

May 26th, 2010 My sweet friend Nan and her adorable boys came over on Sunday to hang out and grab some family pictures. Although, the boys were less than cooperative we were still able to grab some frame worthy shots. I love this time of year, it’s SO pretty outside. Thanks friend for letting me pass off my camera!

May 13th, 2010 Jamie and I have been blessed to live in a wonderful neighborhood since moving into our home in April of 2008. We live off a quiet street where our kids will be able to play outside without worrying this Mama to death. However; the nicest thing about our location is the neighbors, we have really friendly sweet people living all around us. Christina and Scott moved in directly next door some time after us and we were delighted to get to know them. We were even more delighted when we found out that they were expecting a little boy only months after Jay was due. I have enjoyed sharing pregnancy woe’s with Christina, introducing our little ones to each other and now being able to walk in the mornings or commiserate about the lack of sleep with her.
I snuck over to their house one afternoon to grab a few shots of their sweet little one, C after he was born. This was no easy feat since we were coordinating two non-existent schedules (his and Jay’s). Little C was and continues to be so sweet. I am so excited to be able to watch our little ones grow up together; how wonderful it will be for Jay to have a buddy that lives so close and for me to have a Mama friend literally a doorway away.
Please excuse the excessive amount of photos but I just couldn’t choose what to post and what not to. I mean can you blame me with that adorable squishy face?

May 8th, 2010 I keep hoping that it is possible to turn a black thumb green, or at least partially green, a sliver of green or maybe for it to just look slightly green when held in the correct lighting. You see I kill plants, yup it’s a truth that I am ashamed to admit. I love them in all of their beautiful spring time glory, I get excited that they are in my house and then one day when I walk into the kitchen I think oh crud I killed another one! Either way I keep trying to get them to survive in our house and outside on our front step, maybe one day I will be successful…
Take a look at one of my latest victims so pretty in both morning light and full sun…

this one is not a victim of anything but my camera; he can make anything cute!!
Feel free to offer up any suggestions you have on my whole thumb situation :-)

May 4th, 2010 things have been pretty sleepy around here lately but I promise to be much better soon. We are currently trying to get our sleep patterns under control around here and hopefully when that happens this Mommy will have a little more time on her hands. Aside from the lack of sleep we don’t have any complaints- life is just peachy right now. Thanks for continuing to check in, really we do love you all and miss you when we are away!

April 3rd, 2010 Last Sunday Jamie and I had the pleasure of photographing Gaby and Kim’s wedding. The weather didn’t hold up for the outside shots that we had planned (you may remember that the weather for their engagement shoot wasn’t great either- sorry guys) but we got some great shots and the wedding was a blast; we had a ton of fun and so did everyone else. There will definitely be more pictures to come but these few just couldn’t wait!! Hope you all are enjoying Jamaica, love to you both!

January 26th, 2010 After leafing (pun intended) Asheville, Jamie and I took two days to explore the Blue Ridge Parkway. The leaves were GORGEOUS and soo very colorful and it was great to just drive with no destination in mind…

January 25th, 2010 My sister-in-law Nicole is a big time hooper, hula-hooping that is. She has multiple hula-hoops and when we were visiting with her in Asheville she added an LED hoop to her collection. Before we left, she did all of her tricks for us and Jamie and I played around with some long exposures. We did get some really cool shots but this one is by far my favorite, talk about really loving what you do…
